Acharya Shree Yogeesh and "Spiritual Students"
Acharya Shree Yogeesh is a very gentle, compassionate, and realized soul, but he speaks the bitter truth to awaken souls. As I mentioned in the last entry, it is the role of the teacher to awaken the soul, and not keep it sleeping or wandering in illusion.
I've seen many students approach Acharya Shree and telling him basically that they really want to learn the truth about the world, their soul, and are ready to leave their wordly life. They want to be one with the universe, love all, help others, and so on (good things of course), but as soon as they hear something very bitter, they run away and say Acharya Shree does not know anything. Or, because they had high expectations of meditation/spiritual experiences, and they didn't get it, they leave. It's sad, but not all souls are ready for the truth - ignorance and karma prevent them from learning.
What is a truth seeker?
A truth seeker is strong, courageous, brave, and willing to face challenges. Discovering treasure is not easy. If you are on the ocean, amidst a storm, it takes time to find the treasure. No one just dives into the water and finds beautiful, glorious treasure. It takes a lot of effort. So by approaching a spiritual master, and asking them to help you navigate to the treasure, and because of impatience, inability to fully understand, and simply ignorance, you say they are not helpful and you kick them out of your life, you are left alone on the ocean in a storm called, life. A truth seeker, a real captain, never leaves his or her ship, never gives up, fights any wave that comes his or her way, and listens and accepts the naviagtor as their guide to treasure, truth. Truth seekers are VERY rare.
Searching truth is not a simple dive into the ocean. Searching truth requires patience, understanding, willingness to learn, and humbleness.
I feel compassion for those who have requested Acharya Shree's help, to only leave and become lost. I hope they find a real guide again and accept the challenge of learning.
The Soul's Real Step
It is my intention by writing this entry to show that some people want to take the step, but are afraid or cannot handle it. That is why Acharya Shree says the first step, the REAL step, is the greatest step on the spiritual path. Once you take the step, you will arrive at the destination soon. I also wanted to show that not everyone is ready for the truth, although they believe they are, because of ignorance, karma, and illusion.
Many people believe they take the step, and don't. I just hope one day they do, for their own soul's sake, because deep down their soul is very beautiful and I would like to see them realize it one day.
