2002-2008
This area of my spiritual blog is dedicated to sharing with you who I was before I took spiritual initiation. I feel it is very important to understand the nature of a person before they take a step on the spiritual path, why they would, what inspired them, what life challenges they encountered, and even their weakness, in order better understand who they are now.
Revealing the Changes
Every single person in this world has unique habits, weaknesses (and strengths), and their own share of ignorance. Accept it. :)
By revealing ignorance, the changes of a person become visible. For example, I learned a habit when I was young to react right away - saying things I do not really mean out of anger, instead of "thinking before speaking." I might have learned this from children in school, my parents, or friends. This personal habit of mine, is surely a weak habit, but now I am better... I react less. Less, is the key word to show improvement in my life. From reacting all the time to something I am offended by or do not like, it takes longer for me to react (if I do react). Without knowing my past, and if for some reason you see me "react" you might be quick to judge that I do not have self control, awareness, or do not "think before I speak." But if you understood my nature, beforehand, you would be very happy to see I have improved a lot.
That is why it is important not to judge anyone on their spiritual path based on their thought, actions, or speech, because you do not know their personal weaknesses and habits - you think you do, but the person may not even know it themselves, so how can you?
This area of my blog is to reveal my own shortcomings, my life experiences, and thoughts from my "past life", to humbly show you that everyone, even spiritual aspirants and monks, are ignorant in their life, but every moment following, after taking a step on the spiritual path, is an attempt to remove the darkness from the soul accumulated over millions of years.
Remember, change does not happen overnight. It may take a decade to improve a weakness, but at least you are improving, changing - the purpose of human life.
