Chasing Enlightenment : Be Like a Turtle!
Written by Sadhvi Siddhali Shree

I don't really watch YouTube videos that often, but somehow I found myself watching a Turtle chase a Tomato. Like Acharya Shree always says, "Be like a Turtle, slow and steady wins the race." In this case, a tomato!

Realizing yourself or achieving Enlightenment is all about self-effort. The enlightened master does not "give you enlightenment", they can only help guide you for awhile, but in the end, you have to reach ecstacy on your own, and experience your own bliss. In rare cases, enlightenment can be achieved without the help of master.

Enlightenment with the help of a Guru

At :45, the guru helps. At 1:30, the guru leaves and turtle is in ecstacy by himself.

Enlightenment without the help of the Guru

At 1:50, bliss is achieved.

Faith and Beliefs on the Spiritual Path
Written by Sadhvi Siddhali Shree

Being a Truth Seeker, you are searching to know and realize the Truth. To know Truth for what it is, not what you'd like it to be, or believe it to be.

Many people believe in "God" or follow a certain faith/belief system; however, Acharya Shree Yogeesh states, "all beliefs are false." It is a very strong statement to many believers, because it denies them of everything they believe life to be, or even God to be. So hearing such a bitter statement, turns people off. Today, I'd like to clarify his point a bit, and share my understanding and experiences.

Spiritual Blogging, Writing, Voice or Video Recording are tools to help you on your spiritual journey. By recording your spiritual path, after time, you can return to your journals and realize how far along you've come.

Writing, as I've mentioned before, was one of the tools which helped me grow spiritually on the beginning of my path. Today, I continue writing to remind myself of my progression, as well as publicly share my thoughts, ideas and experiences.

In this blog, I would like to go into detail how recording your spiritual path is helpful, and simple ways how to write about it.

How to Find a Guru & Spiritual Teacher: The Promotion of Vegetarianism
Written by Sadhvi Siddhali Shree

A retreater recently visited Siddhayatan and attended one of our workshops. He had mentioned that he used to be vegetarian, but upon visiting a "guru" in Washington he became a meater again. At a restaurant, she (the spiritual teacher) encouraged him to eat meat. There was the red flag on this "spiritual teacher".

Many of you are seeking for a guru and spiritual teacher that is a true living enlightened master. As a Truth Seeker, you are very cautious and aware, when determining who is real or unreal, because you do not want to get trapped under an unenlightened master's guidance. In this blog, I would like to share with you one way to know if an enlightened master, is really enlightened.

Ways to Overcome Criticism on the Spiritual Path
Written by Sadhvi Siddhali Shree
Thursday, 01 October 2009 00:00

Many Truth Seekers have often asked me about how to deal with criticism on their spiritual path. For example, for being spiritual and practicing meditation, yoga, or breathing techniques, and maybe being a bit happier and inspired, they receive criticism from their family and friends, like, "you are weird," "are you in a cult?" and "what are you doing?" I'm sure there are many other statements you have experienced (I have, too) and you try to brush them off your shoulders, but deep down you are hurt, disappointed, and might even doubt yourself and your path. I'd like to introduce to you a few points on why people may react to you and your spirituality and simple reminders to help you understand yourself and them more.
