Namaste, or "I bow to you," or "I bow to the light within you" is a sanskrit term and Indian cultural greeting. Although very popular, it falls a bit short for helping a person surrender their ego. A stronger statement to help a person surrender their ego are the sanskrit terms: Mathen Vandami. Mathen Vandami means, "I bow by my head to you." Bowing by your head is symbolic for humbleness, the absence of ego.
